Memories Box

I wanted to create a box that is reminiscent of a cork board, where you would pin up memories of photographs, gig tickets, or notes that friends had written to you. This is a very quick, and shabbily made, prototype of that. Obvious things that could be improved, is to pin more on it than just photographs - I should extend it to silly drawings, theatre tickets, or even exam results. I was thinking about turning the photographs into polaroids as well. Materials I used were: thin piece of cork card, coloured drawing pins and printer paper. Hostility Box

This is my prototype for my 'hostility' box. It was inspired by the artist Mona Hatoum, who turns everyday domestic objects into dangerous items, i.e. a welcome mat purely made up of steel pins. My prototype is very shabbily made, but I think it gets its point across quite nicely. Unsure whether I should have used the matte side of the tin foil as opposed to the shiny side, but I can always go back and develop this a bit more.
